What is DRUID
The DRUID Winter Conference 1997
The Winter seminar was introduced by an interesting lecture of Bo Carlsson on the general state of research in Industrial Dynamics. Other international scholars were Massimo Colombo, Dieter Ernst, Jan Fagerberg, Staffan Læstadius, Lynn Mytelka. 19 papers representing more than 25 DRUID scholars were presented and commented by Danish colleagues and byr the international scholars. The papers can with few exceptions be accessed on the DRUID home page in a PDF-format. As foreseen, the programme was quite dense and there were few opportunities to go into deeper discussions in the official sessions. But authors got useful feed-back on critical points and useful exchanges took place outside the sessions. A number of Ph.D. students made important remarkably good contributions both in terms of papers and in being discussants to papers.
