The Best Papers of the DRUID-DIME Academy Winter 2007 PhD Conference

The Selection Committee has picked the three best papers of the conference. It was extremely hard given the many high quality papers at the conference. The high quality of PhD presentation is good news for the future of DRUID's broader scientific community. Nevertheless, in the end the Committee found that three papers were outstanding:

Christina Günther, Max Planck Insitute of Economics:

What’s the cost of losing one’s home? Location choice and firm survival following the forced relocation of German machine tool firms after World War 2

Hao Tan, Macquarie University:

Semiconductor Industry Cycles

    Tuomo Nikulainen:

What makes a gatekeeper? Insights from the Finnish nano-community

The three papers have been offered inclusion in the DRUID Working Paper Series 2007, subject to revisions along the lines of teh comments given at the conference.
